This dynamic, small, early painting from my time on Titterstone Clee is rather more physical and painterly than others. The emotion of 'times past' seeps through the surface - so many men and women toiled in uncompromising conditions, mining for coal and stone.    Oil, enamel, collage on ply 38.5W x 28H cm  2023
